Mallorca star sits out training ahead of Real Betis clash | OneFootball

A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga outfit RCD Mallorca was on Friday forced to sit out training alongside the rest of his teammates.

Mallorca are currently being put through their final paces, ahead of a return to action next Monday night.

The Bermellones are primed to make the trip to the Estadio Benito Villamarín, for a La Liga meeting with in-form Real Betis.

As alluded to above, however, in efforts to emerge from Andalusia with a positive result, Jagoba Arrasate’s troops could well be forced to make do without a high-profile attacker.

The player in question? Takuma Asano.

As per a report from Marca:

‘The Japanese has trained on the sidelines this Friday and could be left out of the squad to face Real Betis if the medical team deems it appropriate.’

Asano, a summer arrival at Mallorca from Bochum, has played an important role in the frontline of new boss Arrasate this season, featuring in all six of the club’s La Liga fixtures to date.
