Manchester City’s Vivianne Miedema is sidelined again after having surgery for a persistent knee injury. The club announced today that the Dutch striker will be out of action and her recovery time is uncertain, following a successful procedure on her left knee.

Miedema, once prolific at SC Heerenveen, has already been on the sidelines twice this year due to knee problems. She had already withdrawn from the last international period due to strain, but now it turns out that she has undergone surgery.
