Benfica goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin has responded to transfer speculation linking him with a high profile move to Manchester City.
Trubin has gone from strength to strength since a 2023 switch from Shakhtar Donetsk, successfully winning the battle with Andriy Lunin to be Ukraine's number one during that time.
City could be in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer as a squad rebuild that began with a bang in January continues in earnest.
Ederson turned down the Saudi Pro League last summer and has remained linked with a lucrative move to the Middle East. Back-up stopper Stefan Ortega also hasn't ruled out leaving.
When the idea of joining City was put to Trubin, he stressed the importance of remaining focused on the games in front of him with Ukraine and Benfica, but didn't shut it down.

"I don't know, I saw it on the Internet just like you," he told local media. "Right now I'm completely focused on the national team, then on Benfica, because there's an important stretch of championships and the cup ahead, and everything else needs to be postponed for later."
Trubin is under contract with Benfica until 2028 and is reported to have a release clause worth €100m (£83.6m) which, if triggered, would make him the most expensive goalkeeper in history.
Ederson made the same journey from Benfica to Manchester City in 2017, one of the final pieces in the puzzle for Pep Guardiola's team in an era of domestic dominance that has lasted until now. The Brazilian has made 361 appearances in almost eight years at the club, but he is no longer the force that he once was and was even recently dropped for a period in December.
