Manchester United’s pre-season preparations began with a late defeat to Rosenborg.
Scorers: Holm 90+3′
Erik ten Hag handed starts to six first-team regulars including Mason Mount, Casemiro and Marcus Rashford.
But the hosts dominated chances in the opening 45 minutes with Radek Vitek’s saves proving vital to keeping the score level at the interval.
The Red Devils’ best chance of the first half fell to Ethan Wheatley, whose shot inside the penalty area was kept out comfortably by Sander Tangvik.
Vitek remained the busier goalkeeper, despite Ten Hag made wholesale changes at the break, while Rosenborg hit the woodwork a further three times.
However a winner arrived with the last kick of the game as Noah Holm pounced to fire home from close-range to give his side the spoils.
Next up for United is a trip to Rangers on Saturday before facing Arsenal at Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium.
