Pep Guardiola’s side return to league action against the struggling Foxes, after securing progress to the FA Cup semi-finals at the weekend. City won 2-1 at Bournemouth to secure a semi-final berth for the seventh straight season.
Attention now turns back to the Premier League and confirming Champions League qualification. Fifth in the table as things stand, there are five points between fourth-placed Chelsea and Bournemouth in 10th.
Leicester arrive at Eastlands in miserable form. The Foxes have lost 13 of their last 14 league games and are 12 points from safety. An instant return to the Championship is edging closer.
The weekend win at Bournemouth came at a cost after Erling Haaland sustained an ankle injury. City’s leading scorer is facing at least six weeks on the sidelines and is a doubt to feature in the run-in.
Haaland joins John Stones and Manuel Akanji on the sidelines, while Oscar Bobb and Rodri are not yet ready to return. Nathan Ake will not play again this season.
Manchester City predicted XI: Ederson; Lewis, Dias, Gvardiol, O’Reilly; Kovacic, Gonzalez; Doku, De Bruyne, Savinho; Marmoush.
Manchester City host Leicester in the Premier League on Wednesday 2nd April 2025. Kick-off at the Etihad is 19:45 BST.
