Manchester City will have a buy-back clause in a deal to sell Micah Hamilton to Middlesbrough, .
Michael Carrick is preparing to splash the cash before the transfer window closes later this month and he wants Hamilton.
Manchester City have agreed to sell Hamilton to Boro for a fee of around £3.5m.
However, the Cityzens are not completely letting go of the winger and will continue to hold the ability to bring him back.
Manchester City are inserting a buy-back clause into the deal that they will be able to trigger.
It will be set at around £11m.
That would represent a potential good profit for Middlesbrough if Manchester City trigger it, however Boro may by then not want to lose the winger.
The final details of the transfer are now being thrashed out between both clubs.
Hamilton played twice in the Champions League for Manchester City last term and even scored, against Red Star Belgrade.
