Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana opened up on a ‘crazy’ atmosphere in the Inter Milan locker room.
Speaking at La Media Carre via FCInter1908, Onana evoked funny memories from his season-long stint at Giuseppe Meazza.
Andre Onana joined Inter from Ajax in the summer of 2022 on a free transfer, having previously agreed pre-contract terms.
Indeed, he signed a five-year contract at the San Siro, expecting to be Samir Handanovic’s long-term heir.
However, he only stayed at the club for one season before leaving Serie A for the Premier League’s reaches.
Manchester United forked out around £43.8 million to lure him to Old Trafford.
Following a remarkable season at Inter, Onana moved to England to replace David de Gea.
Yet, his first two years at Manchester United have been far from impressive.
In addition to the club’s epic fall from grace, the Cameroon international has struggled on the individual level.
His errors have often made headlines for all the wrong reasons, though he has also had some brilliant moments.
“I played one season at Inter, but it feels like I was there for ten. Our locker room was like a nightclub,” Onana admitted.
“One day, I arrived on time for training, but Denzel (Dumfries) told me I was late, so I had to pay the fine.

“The fines were harsh, and just for a joke like that, I ended up buying 35 iPhones.
“That’s because when you get fined, you have to buy one for everyone.
“There was one thing they absolutely hated and considered deeply disrespectful: being late.
“I’d rather have a poor performance than arrive late.
“That season, I ended up giving my wife at least four gifts.
“Sometimes they asked for iPhones, other times for Rolexes. It was crazy!”
