Charles De Ketelaere came through Club Brugge academy and then joined AC Milan before switching to Atalanta in the summer of 2023. Since his arrival, he has been a solid performer for the club and is improving with each day passing.

De Ketelaere is having a great season so far as he has already netted 11 goals and provided as many assists in 38 games. He is averaging 1.3 shots, 1.3 key passes, and 1.3 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).
The Belgian is a technically sound footballer and likes to attack directly. He has accurate passing abilities, effective dribbling skills, and commendable vision. He can play an attacking role as the midfielder or on the front line.
Manchester United have already loaned out Marcus Rashford and Antony for the rest of the season. Though they will come back next summer, they don’t have a long-term future at the Old Trafford. Hence, the club need to sign new players to add more firepower up front.
In that mission, the pursuit of Charles De Ketelaere makes sense. The attacker is already providing himself at Atalanta and is expected to hit his peak soon. His versatility and high quality will be appreciated by Ruben Amorim.
The 23-year-old’s arrival can help Manchester United transform itself and be more effective. However, they need to beat their rivals Manchester City in the race. The latter are also keeping tabs on the player as they look for a long-term replacement for Kevin de Bruyne.
