Erik ten Hag’s side let West Ham off the hook before succumbing to late defeat
Manchester United were beaten 2-1 by West Ham at the London Stadium as pressure on Erik ten Hag reached new levels.
The Red Devils went behind to Crysencio Summerville’s goal in the second half but fought back to 1-1 thanks to Casemiro’s header.
However, Matthijs de Ligt was then adjudged to have fouled Danny Ings in the penalty area with just minutes to remaining, and Jarrod Bowen’s penalty earned West Ham victory and cost the visitors all three points.

Andre Onana 5
Went over with an injury early in the second half after clashing with Michail Antonio but continued.
One poor pass to fellow fullback Mazraoui was followed by a horrendous miss when he rounded Lukasz Fabianski but then fired over with an open goal. But involved in United’s leveller.
Matthijs de Ligt 4
Distributed the ball safely, was shown a booking for bringing down Crysencio Summerville, then fouled Danny Ings to have West Ham a penalty.
Lisandro Martinez 6
Solid. Made some important clearances for the Red Devils at times when they were under threat.
Noussair Mazraoui 5
Offered limited threat down the wing and given a tough time by Jarrod Bowen and Antonio.
Casemiro 6
Nearly scored from one header before the interval and then did score with 81 minutes gone.
Christian Eriksen 5
His corner and free-kick deliveries were threatening. Little else that he did was.
Was quiet for the hour he played before being hauled off in favour of Amad Diallo.

Bruno Fernandes 7
Tried to makes things happen all afternoon, arcing passes over the West Ham defence and acting as United’s chief creator.
Alejandro Garnacho 5
As lively as Fernandes but guilty of missing a number of really good chances. Not nearly clinical enough.
Rasmus Hojlund 6
Ran in behind well. Forced a strong save from Fabianski in the second half.
Subs:
Amad Diallo (Rashford, 59’) 6
Full of running and offered a fresh outlet on the right wing.
Joshua Zirkzee (Eriksen, 78’) N/A
Off the bench to assist the equaliser.
Victor Lindelof (Mazraoui, 84’) N/A
Not used: Bayindir, Ugarte, Evans, Wheatley, Amass, Fletcher
