Manchester United travel to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday, looking to address a poor run of results.
The Red Devils are winless in four games across all competitions and required a stoppage-time equaliser from Harry Maguire to rescue a draw at Porto on Thursday, having earlier surrendered a two-goal lead at The Estádio do Dragão.
Last weekend saw Ten Hag’s team beaten 3-0 by Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford, their second home defeat by that scoreline in the Premier League this season.
The Dutchman’s position is coming under increasing threat with United sat 14th in the Premier League table ahead of the trip to Villa Park.
Their opponents head into the contest in opposite mood, having claimed the scalp of Bayern Munich in midweek. On a memorable night of Champions League action, Jhon Duran came off the bench to score the winner against the six-time European champions.
Kobbie Mainoo was not included in the squad to face Porto but trained last week and has been passed fit to feature at Villa Park. Rasmus Hojlund also makes his first league start of the season after scoring in midweek.
There is a recall for Harry Maguire to the starting side after the defender was the surprise hero against Porto. Matthijs de Ligt struggled up against Samu Omorodion in Portugal and has had a mixed start to his career in English football. Jonny Evans also starts in a shake-up for the Red Devils, with Lisandro Martinez on the bench.
Diogo Dalot again deputises at left-back again in the absence of Luke Shaw (calf), Tyrell Malacia (knee), while Leny Yoro (foot) remains out. Mason Mount has been ruled out after suffering a cut to the head against Spurs.
Manchester United XI to face Aston Villa: Onana; Mazraoui, Maguire, Evans, Dalot; Eriksen, Mainoo, Fernandes; Garnacho, Rashford, Hojlund.
