Boca Juniors have officially unveiled two of their new January signings ahead of the Superliga season.
Goalkeeper Marcos Díaz joined from Huracán while Júnior Alonso was signed from Ligue 1 outfit Lille for €3m.
Both when were presented to the gathered media this week before their game with Newell’s on January 28.
“I’m happy for the opportunity,” said Díaz. “This is an important step in my career.
“Boca put a lot of effort into bringing me here so I didn’t need a lot of persuading to sign.”
Alonso meanwhile admitted that it’s the team’s obligation to try and win every game this coming season.
“It was a quick negotiation. I wanted to come and the club wanted me.
“It’s not going to be easy playing for such a big club, but I’m ready for every challenge that comes my way.”
