Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has reportedly set a deadline for Barcelona who must act swiftly if they wish to seal the deal.
The 27-year-old has been infamously excluded from Ruben Amorim’s plans in recent weeks. He hasn’t stepped a foot on the pitch over the club’s last seven fixtures across all competitions. Therefore, the Man Utd youth product is widely expected to leave the nest this month.
But between his rumoured antics off the pitch and hefty salary, many top European clubs have been reluctant to pursue the controversial striker. Nevertheless, the likes of AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund are reportedly happy to offer him an escape rope from this Carrington troubles.
And yet, Barcelona has always been identified as Rashford’s dream destination. The England international would love to play his football at Camp Nou, while the Blaugrana’s head coach Hansi Flick has been looking to connect with the player since his time at the helm of Bayern Munich.

So while this could be a match made in heaven, Barca’s financial difficulties could hinder the operation. After all, the Catalans had to pull a rabbit out of the hat just to register Dani Olmo who was on the cusp of leaving the club.
The LaLiga giants might be able to make room for Rashford by offloading one of their current players, but Rashford cannot afford to wait forever, as doesn’t want to be left high and dry as we head towards the final stretch of the winter transfer window.
So according to Spanish newspaper Sport, the Englishman has given Barcelona an ultimatum that expires on Wednesday (January 15th).
Therefore, the Blaugrana must either make a move, or the forward will be looking elsewhere, shifting his priority either to Milan or Dortmund. Hence, we should brace ourselves for what could be decisive hours in this January transfer saga,
