Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly reignited their interest in signing Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford this summer.

Rashford was a key target for PSG during the 2021/22 season as began their push to part ways with Brazil international Neymar, before the French side's sporting director, Leonardo, was relieved of his duties at the end of that campaign.

Since then, Rashford has fallen out of favour at United but is currently enjoying a fruitful loan spell with Aston Villa, who are believed to have the option to make the move permanent at the end of the season for a fee of £40m.

The final decision will ultimately rest with Rashford who, according to L'Equipe, has received a renewed approach from PSG.

The director currently calling the shots in Paris, Luis Campos, has once again reached out to Rashford's entourage to evaluate his future. They were interested in a January deal, only to find Rashford reluctant to leave England.

Despite the acquisition of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli during the winter transfer window, PSG remain keen to sign a new forward in the summer and could consider a fresh move for Rashford if he does not join Aston Villa permanently.

It is thought that Rashford was open to a move to Paris in the past, but whether he retains that stance at this point in his career is unclear.

Rashford has notched three goals and four assists in 12 appearances since joining Villa - form which has helped him reclaim a spot in the England setup.

United head coach Ruben Amorim, who famously clashed with the 27-year-old over his training standards, has refused to close the door to a possible reunion at Old Trafford, but the expectation is that Rashford will leave United this summer. If Villa do not take up their option for a permanent transfer, the Red Devils could demand as much as £60m to sell their academy graduate.
