According to information from La Provence, Olympique de Marseille will look to appeal the travel ban for their supporters ahead of this weekend’s visit to AS Saint-Étienne.

The match on Sunday the 8th of December will be the fourth game this season that Marseille will be without their travelling support after it was announced last month that away fans would be banned from making the trip to the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard.

Marseille fans were previously not allowed to attend the games against Olympique Lyonnais, FC Nantes, or Montpellier HSC. The Marseille hierarchy also appealed the Nantes fixture but this was unsuccessful.

Marseille file their appeal today

La Provence writes that Fabio Ravanelli has been tasked with handling the case with an appeal being filed before the Administrative Court of Lyon today (the 3rd of December). The outlet also notes that the club have one eye on the Coupe de France fixture where they will once again be travelling north to face Saint-Étienne.
