Marseille interested in Brighton’s Evan Ferguson as Elye Wahi nears exit | OneFootball

According to a report from RMC Sport, Olympique de Marseille have been looking at Brighton & Hove Albion forward Evan Ferguson (20). The Irish striker who played under Roberto De Zerbi during their shared time in England joins the growing list of players that have been linked with Marseille in recent days.

Les Phocéens have begun the search for a new striker with Elye Wahi (22) reportedly close to a departure to Eintracht Frankfurt. The former RC Lens and Montpellier HSC man had been the club’s statement signing over the summer but after a difficult six months looks to be on the way out.

Evan Ferguson on the radar for Marseille even if Santiago Giménez remains club’s priority

RMC Sport writes that Marseille’s priority is to bring in Feyenoord forward Santiago Giménez (23). However, it looks to be a complicated transfer to pull off midway through the season and the French side are reluctant to overpay for reinforcements even if they receive a large transfer fee from Wahi’s exit.
