According to Foot Mercato and RMC Sport, Olympique de Marseille are pushing to sign Stade Rennais left-back Adrien Truffert (22).
Marseille’s finances are limited this transfer window with the club’s wage bill being closely followed by the DNCG – French football’s financial watchdog. However, OM are looking to sign a left-back this winter. Hellas Verona’s Josh Doig is an option that is being explored by the club, although they face considerable competition for the Scottish defender’s sifgnature.
It had been thought that Les Phocéens had been looking for a back-up for Renan Lodi, linked with a move to Premier League side Brentford, however, the club’s approach for Truffert suggests they are trting to provde competition for Lodi, given Truffert’s international experience (one France cap).
Accordig to Foot Merato, OM are closing in on a move for Truffert, whilst according to RMC Sport, the club are nearing an agreement with the player himself.
