After completing the signing of Elye Wahi, Olympique de Marseille did not anticipate signing another No.9 this summer. However, Faris Moumbagna’s injury is likely to change matters, as reported by L’Équipe.

Manager Roberto De Zerbi stated that OM feared that Moumbagna has suffered a “long injury” after having to be stretchered off during Saturday’s 5-1 victory over Stade Brestois. Whilst the club await the results of medical tests, OM are already in the market for a replacement.

According to Foot Mercato, OM are interested in Martín Satriano (23), a forward who has spent the last two seasons on loan at Brest from parent club Inter Milan. However, Les Phocéens would face competition. Whilst Brest continue to work on bringing the Uruguayan striker back to the club, and despite interest from La Liga side Getafe, Satriano reportedly favours a move to the Vélodrome this summer. It is up to Marseille to find an agreement with Inter Milan and also the player himself.
