kicker reports that Werder Bremen striker Marvin Ducksch is set to stay at Werder Bremen this summer despite attracting interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Ducksch had been linked with moves to the SPL and Qatar Stars League and would have been given the chance to make a lot of money, but he has decided to stay at the Weserstadion.

There were rumours that Ducksch could follow the same path as former strike partner Niclas Füllkrug and leave the club at the last minute, which Füllkrug did last summer to join Borussia Dortmund, but he has committed to Bremen.

Since joining the club in 2021 from Hannover, Ducksch has been a reliable presence upfront as he scored 20 goals as he helped Bremen back into the Bundesliga, while in the top division, he has gone on to have 18 and 21 goal involvements as Bremen continued to improve year on year under Ole Werner.

The 30-year-old even played his way into the German national team at the back end of last year but has not featured for the side since.
