According to Foot Mercato, Mathys Tel (19) is reluctant to leave Bayern Munich on loan during the winter transfer window. The Bundesliga outfit are considering a temporary spell away for the former Rennes striker to allow him to play regular minutes and regain his confidence.
With rumours of a potential loan move on the horizon, the French forward has attracted interest from clubs in both Germany and Spain. RB Leipzig, Werder Bremen and Villarreal are just some of the clubs interested in a potential loan move. However, with the 19-year-old reluctant to leave, any club’s hopes of a potential loan move are likely to have diminished.
Tel has struggled for minutes since he arrived at the Allianz Arena. With Harry Kane ahead of him in the pecking order at Bayern and readily available, playing time has been sporadic for the France U21 international. The forward has only played 224 minutes across 7 appearances for the German side. A loan move seems like it could make sense for Tel’s development but it remains to be seen if a move will materialise.
