Sandro Wagner has urged fans to have some trust in Bayern Munich.

The German champions currently have the smallest squad in the Bundesliga and are facing some criticism as the new season approaches.

Wagner, though, believes people should have faith in the men running the club.

“Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Uli Hoeneß and Hasan Salihamidžić should be trusted and allowed to work in peace,” said the former Bayern striker, who is now playing in China.

“I don’t think the last 30 years have been too bad for Bayern Munich.”

There is, though, one thing about the club’s transfer business that leaves Wagner concerned.

“That Mats is now playing for Dortmund is the only thing that worries me a bit,” the 31-year-old confessed.

“Personally, I don’t like that. But that’s just my opinion as a Bayern fan.

“I’ve talked with Mats and, unfortunately, can understand his point of view on the transfer 100 per cent.”

Hummels completed a return to Dortmund earlier this month in a move that will only strengthen the Black and Yellows’ title bid.
