The Real Madrid players trained in front of their fans today at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium in what was the team’s final session of 2024.
As the squad prepared for the La Liga game against Valencia later this week in an open training session, the stadium was packed, especially with children.
After the session, the players approached the stands to sign shirts, take photos, and also spoke with the club media, where they shared their excitement about having fans at the training and revealed what they are hoping for in 2025.
Kicking things off, Real Madrid captain Luka Modric, whose contract expires in 2025, shared his excitement about having fans present during training sessions.
“It’s very nice to be with the fans, let them see us train, signing shirts, and taking photos with them. I’m very proud to be captain, and it’s something unique,” said Modric.
“You can’t ask for more after this year. We’ve won many titles, and we need to keep going so that 2025 is similar,” he added.
Vinicius Jr., FIFA The Best Player of the Year Award winner, explained: “It’s a very important day for us and for the fans on the last day of the year. These things give us very good energy. I’m very happy for the recognition from the fans, who give us the strength we need.”
As for what he wants for 2025, the Brazilian said: “I hope we’re at our best to bring joy to the fans.”
Marquee summer signing Kylian Mbappe, is very clear that “we can’t end the year better than surrounded by the fans. The goal is to be stronger and happier in 2025. When you play for Real Madrid, you have to compete for all titles and bring happiness to the fans.
“We want to write our story in the great history of Real Madrid. Now comes the Super Cup, and we’ll work to win it. We also want La Liga and the Champions League. We’ll compete in every competition.”
Fellow talisman Jude Bellingham echoed Mbappe’s sentiments, saying: “We want more titles in the new year because that’s the most important thing. The support of the fans is very important. They support us in every match, and these days are very special.”

Meanwhile Lucas Vazquez stated that he and the team will fight to repeat the success they achieved in 2024, having won five trophies.
“It’s been a beautiful year, and we’re happy with what we’ve achieved. We’ll fight to repeat it. The five titles come from the commitment of the squad, we get along very well, and it shows on the field. We’re going to fight and give everything to win all the titles.”
Thibaut Courtois, like his teammates, stated, “We want to fulfill the challenges ahead. After a year of trophies, we want to start 2025 well and get several wins before the Spanish Super Cup.
“La Liga and the Champions League are also important, and we want to win every trophy.”
Brahim Diaz, who has grown into a key player for Ancelotti, highlighted: “From this year, I keep the titles we won. The team is united, and we feel the support of Madridistas all over the world.
“This is Madrid, and every year we have to keep fighting for every title. We’re a family, and it shows in every training and every game.”
Midfielder Eduardo Camavinga stressed the importance of giving joy to the fans with trophies, saying:
“It’s important to have days like this because when I was a kid, I went through the same thing, and we want to give back to the fans with titles what they give us. I keep the trophies won this year, and we want the same for next year.”
Camavinga’s compatriot, Aurelien Tchouameni also spoke along similar lines as he said: “We enjoy the second part of the season and win more titles. It’s been an incredible year, especially because of the Champions League. We’re excited to win more titles.”
