McTominay out and Dykes in doubt for Scotland-Denmark | OneFootball

Scotland will be without Scott McTominay and could also miss Lyndon Dykes for their final World Cup qualifier on Monday night.

Steve Clarke’s men have already secured a play-off spot but face off against the table-topping Danes with a potential home tie at stake in their semi-final next March.

But they will be without McTominay for the contest, Clarke confirmed, with the Manchester United man having missed Friday’s win in Moldova due to a throat infection.

The man in charge also revealed that Dykes’ chances of featuring are ’50/50′ due to an injury and he trained alone at Oriam on Sunday.

The QPR striker was suspended for the game in Chisinâu and could extend his successive scoring streak for Scotland to five games if he were to feature and find the net against Denmark.

There are also further concerns for Clarke in the contest as Andy Robertson, John McGinn, Billy Gilmour, Ché Adams, Jack Hendry, Stephen O’Donnell and Kevin Nisbet are all a booking away from being suspended for their play-off semi-final.
