Paris Saint-Germain continued their preparations for the new season with a comfortable victory over Gamba Osaka on Monday.
Scorers: Kurokawa 34′, Yamami 70′; Sarabia 28′, Neymar (pen) 32′, 60, Mendes 37′, Messi 39′, Mbappé (pen) 86′
PSG went ahead in the 28th minute, when Lionel Messi had a shock blocked and Pablo Sarabia was in the right place to tuck away the follow-up.
It was soon 2-0, when Neymar was brought down in the box and the Brazilian stepped up to coolly dispatch the resulting penalty.
The hosts then pulled a goal back via Keisuke Kurokawa, only for PSG to quickly go 3-1 up when Nuno Mendes powered home left-footed.
And Messi then got in on the act to make it 4-1 at half-time when he scored from Neymar’s assist.
Into the second half and Neymar got his second of the game after rounding the goalkeeper to score.
But their Japanese hosts were still looking to leave an impression and Hiroto Yamami tapped in after a long passing move finally found a spare man at the back post, free to square the ball for an easy finish.
But PSG restored their four-goal lead with another penalty, this time converted by Kylian Mbappé as he got in on the act.
Next up for the Ligue 1 champions is the Trophée des Champions against Nantes on Sunday.
