Georges Mikautadze, FC Metz’s talisman, will start in the first leg of the relegation play-off against AS Saint-Étienne on Thursday evening.

Laszlo Bölöni’s side finished 16th in Ligue 1, giving them a shot at securing their spot in France’s top flight for next season. For the first leg of the relegation play-off, Bölöni has an almost full squad to choose from. The Romanian will, however, be without Ablie Jallow, who also missed Les Grenats’ final game of the season, a 2-0 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Gambian forward suffered a knee injury after a collision with his own team-mate, Fali Candé, before the defeat against PSG and he is yet to sufficiently recover. Jallow was absent from first-team training on Wednesday and will therefore not participate on Thursday.
