L’Équipe report that Ligue 1 side Metz have accepted a sub €1m bid from Belgian outfit KV Oostende, who are part of the Pacific Media Group multi-club project that also owns Barnsley and Ligue 2 side AS Nancy.
The 24-year-old forward, who spent much of his youth academy days at Manchester City, failed to make an impact for Les Grenats and Ambrose will now sign a 3-year contract with the Belgian outfit.
At Metz, he managed 11 starts and 1 goals in two seasons.
Ambrose will not be loaned to sister club of Oostende, Nancy, who currently play in the French 2nd division.
