After a memorable loan spell at Borussia Dortmund in 2017/18, Michy Batshuayi has shot his way into fans' hearts at numerous clubs in England, Spain and Turkey before returning to the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt this winter.
Batshuayi had become an English Premier League champion with Chelsea in 2016/17 before he took on the black-and-yellow of Dortmund in an incredible loan in the second half of the 2017/18 season.
The Belgian netted nine goals in just 14 appearances back then, and said on joining Frankfurt in February: "I have great memories of that time - unfortunately I scored two goals against Eintracht, though."
That proved to be just a whistle-stop tour on Batshuayi's fascinating journey through the world of football, which next took him to Valencia. His six months in Spain did not go quite as well as planned, but he did gain UEFA Champions League experience for the La Liga outfit, making several of the near-80 European appearances he now boasts.
Following a return to London - first back at Chelsea and then on loan to Crystal Palace - Batshuayi tuned out for some of Turkey's leading lights. The 31-year-old played for Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray during his three-year spell in Istanbul, scoring an impressive 43 goals in 97 appearances in the Turkish top flight.
While he has largely been deployed as a substitute since returning to the Bundesliga with Frankfurt in January, Batshuayi has shown he has not lost any of his goalscoring touch. He netted his first Bundesliga goal for Frankfurt with a thumping finish in the Matchday 25 defeat to Union Berlin and backed that up with another strike the following week in a 3-1 win at Bochum.
He was clear on his signing that he has big aims for the rest of the campaign: "If we go far in Europe, we might end up winning the Europa League, and getting into the Champions League would mark a very good season."
With a vastly experienced goalscorer like Batshuayi in their ranks, anything is possible for the Eagles, who go into the final eight matches of the season fourth in the table and face a UEFA Europa League quarter-final against one of the London clubs he hasn't previously played for - Tottenham Hotspur.
