Coburn has revealed that a key factor persuaded him to make the move to The Den.
Millwall striker Josh Coburn has revealed that Neil Harris was a big reason behind his loan move from Middlesbrough.
Speaking to the South London Press, the forward revealed the fact Harris was a striker had played a key role in the move, with Coburn likely to learn plenty during his time at The Den.
The Lions are currently in the same division as Boro and that made the latter's decision to send him on loan to Harris' side a brave one, but it could be a decision that benefits the Teesside outfit in the future.
He didn't look set to win too much game time at the Riverside this term if he had stayed, with Delano Burgzorg and Tommy Conway joining and Emmanuel Latte Lath staying put.
Coburn may have started in Boro's two EFL Cup games, but he only made very brief substitute appearances during the opening two games of the season before remaining an unused substitute against Portsmouth.
After sealing a temporary move to the English capital though, he looks set to win more game time and the player has already made an impact at The Den.
Scoring on his debut against Sheffield Wednesday in a 4-0 win, Harris and his team will be hoping that's a sign of things to come from the talented Boro man, who could end up being a real asset for the Lions this term.
The 21-year-old has shown real promise during his career, even if he hasn't managed to retain a key place in Boro's first team.
And he could shine under a former striker, who played a key role in his summer loan move.
Revealing Harris' role in the move, Coburn said: "That was a massive part in me coming here.
"He was saying how much he helps the strikers and how much he likes to do one-on-one sessions. He has already helped me in training with little movements. That is really going to benefit me this season.
"It’s a massive club. After speaking to the gaffer I knew it was a really good one to come to. It was the right move for me.
"The way they play suits me down to the ground."
Coburn needs to establish himself as a Championship footballer in the next season or two if he's to start regularly for Boro in the coming seasons.
There's even a chance that the Teesside club could be promoted at some point and with this in mind, the forward needs to shine at this level this term.
Already doing fairly well during his career, Coburn needs to build on that.
If he doesn't do well this term, another loan move could materialise.
