Middlesbrough have completed the signing of Micah Hamilton on a permanent deal from Manchester City.
The 20-year-old moves to the Riverside Stadium for an undisclosed fee, and has signed a four-year deal. The deal reportedly includes a buy back option for City.
“Micah is an exciting young player who we’re looking forward to working with,” Boro boss Michael Carrick told the club’s official website.
“He’s already been in and around the senior side at Man City – he’s got that experience from playing in the Champions League – and he is another great addition to the squad.”
Hamilton scored on his senior debut for City in a Champions League encounter with Red Star Belgrade last season, and made three first team appearances in total last season.
At international level he has so far been capped twice by England’s U20s.
