Barclays Women’s Super League draws for Arsenal and Man City, Liverpool and Leicester, while Spurs put four goals past newcomers Crystal Palace.
Moments after Miedema almost caught Manuela Zinsberger off her line, Frida Maanum fired Arsenal ahead following Caitlin Foord’s cross.
Miedema’s shot deflected in off the Gunners’ Laia Codina close to the interval, the lead might have been restored by half-time but goalkeeper Ayaka Yamashita blocked the effort of Stina Blackstenius.

Foord had the ball in the net seconds after the restart but the offside flag said no, City taking a 2-1 lead before the hour mark with a 20-yard Jess Park effort in off the bar.
Yamashita denied Alessia Russo when through one-on-one but Beth Mead made it 2-2 from close range after Rosa Kafaji hit the post.
