Friday’s reports claim that Sergio Conceicao could sacrifice Christian Pulisic for Milan’s upcoming Serie A match at home to Hellas Verona in a slight tactical switch following the Fab Four’s failure to launch against Feyenoord in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
There was much excitement on Wednesday night over the prospect of seeing Milan’s ‘Fab Four’ of Rafael Leao, Joao Felix, Pulisic and Santiago Gimenez starting together for the first time, but none of the Rossoneri players were able to find the net in the first leg of the Champions League play-off match against Feyenoord, which ended in a 1-0 defeat.
Consequently, there have been reports that Conceicao could switch from a 4-2-3-1 to a 4-3-3 for Milan’s upcoming Serie A match at home against Verona on Saturday.
If that does prove to be the case, then one of Leao, Joao Felix, Pulisic or Gimenez will likely have to be dropped.

Gimenez’s spot is still relatively secure with Tammy Abraham and teenager Francesco Camarda the only other available centre-forwards in the squad, which leaves one of Leao, Joao Felix or Pulisic to be dropped.
According to recent updates from Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.com, there is still a chance that Conceicao sticks with his 4-2-3-1 system, but both outlets claim that Pulisic is set to start from the bench.
Leao Joao Felix and Gimenez are all still expected to start, while Yunus Musah is also in contention to start on the right wing. Riccardo Sottil and Alex Jimenez will also be competing for a starting position out wide.
