Milan deem Manu Kone as alternative signing to Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana | OneFootball

Whilst Milan struggle to reach an agreement with AS Monaco regarding the purchase of Frenchman Youssouf Fofana, the Rossonerri have identified Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone as an alternative signing within the central area of the pitch.

Sportmediaset reports, via MilanNews, that with very little time remaining time before the curtain raiser of the 2024/25 Serie A campaign, there still seems to be a great deal of distance between the Milanese club and the Ligue 1 outfits towards an agreement regarding the sale of the French holding midfielder, despite having reached an agreement on personal terms with the 25 year-old.

In the event that coach Paolo Fonseca’s side are unable to find common grounds with Moncaco, the Rossonerri will shift their focus towards promising Bundesliga star Manu Kone in obtaining a boost of creativity in the midfield.

Throughout last year’s season, the 23 year-old French international played a pivotal role in the middle of the park, making a total of 22 appearances within the Bundesliga for Borussia Monchengladbach.
