Milan Futuro suffered another narrow defeat as they lost to Virtus Entella, who now go top level on points with Pescara and Ternana, in Serie C Group B. It ended 2-1 to the Ligurian outfit at the Stadio Chinetti in Solbiate Arno. Now into the second half of the season, this tough run has not been kind to the young Rossoneri. It was a tough match, which was decided after the break; first with Zukić's error before Zeroli's equaliser and Corbari's subsequent winner. Bonera's boys didn't play poorly, though the did create less than their opponents, who were on top. In the end, it was their errors that proved costly.
It's a bad result, by the same scoreline as the Pesaro defeat, that comes in the wake of the elimination from the cup, and one which will not be cause for smiles over Christmas. Postives came in the form of a good display from Traoré, the return of Zeroli - who scored the Rossoneri's gol - and of Alesi. Matchday 20 sees the Diavolo, therefore, stuck on 16 points, level with Sestri Levante in the danger zone of the table. The team will now have a few days off before they have to get back to work ahead of the back half of the season. From the new year, AC Milan will need to improve and hit the gas if they're to turn their fortunes around. The Rossoneri are back in action on Sunday 5 January when they travel to Carpi.

MATCH REPORT Entella came racing out of the blocks. In the ninth minute, Di Mario sent his powerful effort over the bar before Casarotto forced Nava into good save down low (16'). Then, in the 26th minute, the goalkeeper failed to claim the free-kick but was spared as Manzi headed just wide from close range. It was an open game and the Rossoneri looked to hit on the break through Sia, Traoré and Camarda - who were often held back - but couldn't force a chance. The yellow cards came thick and fast in a stop-start first half.
The second half start much like the first, with Virtus dominating, and Casarotto fired high over the bar from a tight angle (51'). A minute later, the guests got their goal. A mix-up between Bartesaghi and Traoré gave Bariti room to scamper away down the wing and get a cross in; Zukić's touch under pressure from Vilanova sent the ball into his own net. Casarotto then had his shot blocked in the 64th minute. The Rossoneri needed a reaction and, in the 69th minute, Camarda showed a sign as his shot was blocked. The Rossoneri's equaliser came in the 70th minute; Traoré swung in the corner and Zeroli rose highest to turn the ball home. However, the hosts were only level for five minutes: Vilanova setting up Corbari's header (75'). Minotti had a go from range (83') and Fall came close when the ball dropped to him in the area. To no avail. Full-time.
