Christian Benteke won the 2024 MLS Golden Boot and has followed up with five goals so far this season. But his status for D.C. United is uncertain in Saturday's short trip to face the Philadelphia Union, according to the MLS Player Status Report for Matchday 10.

The Black-and-Red will be playing a second traditional rival in as many weeks after earning a 2-1 victory at the New York Red Bulls. But Benteke had to leave that match just before the half-hour mark with an upper body injury.

Fortunately for D.C., Joao Peglow scored twice after Benteke's removal to help D.C. to a first away win. Less fortunately, Benteke has been listed as questionable for the next trip up I-95 to face a Union squad that is among the best in the Eastern Conference so far.

CF Montreal is still seeking its first win of any sort four matches after firing second-year manager Laurent Courtois amid a seven-game road trip to open the season.

And that task will get a little tougher with the news attacking midfielder Bryce Duke (lower body) won't be available for the French Canadian side's trip to face the New York Red Bulls.

Duke has seen his role for Montreal reduced slightly after scoring three goals and contributing five assists in 32 MLS appearances (24 starts) last season. He has yet to earn a goal contribution in his nine appearances (five starts) this year.

Duke joins offseason acquisition Giacomo Vrioni (lower body) on the list of unavailable Montreal attackers. But former USYNT defender Jalen Neal is cleared to return from a lower-body issue that kept him out of consideration in last week's 0-0 draw against Orlando.
