Major League Soccer sides continue to sanction both inbound and outbound transfers with the 2024 campaign less than two weeks away.

Colorado Rapids have transferred a forward player to Argentina as they continue their offseason rebuild, Chicago Fire have mutually agreed to a contract termination with one of their midfielders and San Jose Earthquakes have added a veteran winger that put in incredible numbers in Europe.

1. Chicago Fire and Jairo Torres agree to mutual contract termination

Chicago Fire and midfielder Jairo Torres have agreed to a mutual contract termination. Torres joined Chicago in the summer of 2022 from Liga MX side Atlas, but he was unable to find his form in MLS.The 23-year-old managed 41 appearances across all competitions for the Fire, and he'll now be able to sign as a free agent at his next club. "After many discussions with Jairo and the coaching staff, we all agreed that this was the best decision for the player and the club at this time," Chicago sporting director Georg Heitz said in a release."I'd like to thank Jairo for his contributions to the Chicago Fire and wish him all the best for the future."As Torres signed as a Designated Player, his exit frees up a DP spot with club-record signing Hugo Cuypers and Xherdan Shaqiri the remaining DPs.

2. Braian Galvan departs Colorado Rapids for Banfield

Colorade Rapids have transferred winger Braian Galvan to Argentinian side Banfield. Galvan managed four goals in 59 appearances for the Rapids after joining in July 2020 from Liga Profesional side Colon. "We’d like to thank Braian for all that he has done for the club on and off the pitch. We wish him all the best in the upcoming season," Rapids president Padraig Smith said in a statement.

3. San Jose Earthquakes sign Amahl Pellegrino from FK Bodo/Glimt

San Jose Earthquakes have added to their front line with the signing of Amahl Pellegrino from FK Bodo/Glimt through the 2025 season.The 33-year-old veteran winger put up eye-popping numbers in the Norwegian first division, 32 goals in both of the previous 2023 and 2022 campaigns. In total, he amassed 76 goals and 41 assists in 120 appearances for Bodo/Glimt."We're thrilled to add such a proven scorer like Amahl, who has excelled not only domestically in Norway, but in European competitions as prestigious as the UEFA Champions League," San Jose general manager Chris Leitch said in a release."We were looking to add production from the left wing position, so to accomplish that by bringing a quality player of this caliber to San Jose is tremendous."
