The future of Mohamed Salah has been a subject of much speculation, with his Liverpool contract expiring at the end of the season.
According to Diario SPORT, Salah is already thinking of a move away from Anfield and has offered himself to Barcelona, among other clubs.
It must be noted that Salah has been closely linked with a move to Al Hilal, who are ready to offer him a hefty €50 million per season salary package, which is a significant jump from his current €15 million salary.
However, Salah is yet to make a final call on his future. He has not responded to any offers as of yet, but the report speculates Barcelona remain a potential option for the Egyptian.
However, acquiring the services of Salah could be far from straightforward for Barcelona, even if the forward leaves Liverpool on a free transfer next summer.

Salah’s hefty salary package makes him an almost unrealistic option for the Blaugrana, who have set strict ground rules in terms of how much an individual can earn.
That said, the report claims that Salah could be an option for Barcelona if the forward is ready to settle for a significant pay cut.
It appears the veteran forward does fit Barcelona’s profile, as he can offer productivity and enterprise going forward. Despite his age, the player is rated highly in the Barça camp.
However, the club are also aware of the economic difficulties in acquiring Salah’s services. Therefore, the Catalans are unlikely to be a suitor for the Liverpool winger as he looks to take the next step in his career.
Liverpool, for their part, are not expected to spare any expenses in trying to keep hold of their star player. Hence, it will be interesting to see how this transfer saga unfolds in the coming weeks.
