Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah set a new Premier League record against Everton on Wednesday evening during the Merseyside derby.
The Egyptian started on the right-hand side of Liverpool's menacing forward line at Goodison Park as he sought to continue his exceptional form and help extend his side's lead at the summit of the Premier League table.
The Reds were six points ahead of chasers Arsenal before a ball was kicked and were looking to bounce back from humiliation in the FA Cup against Championship outfit Plymouth Argyle on Sunday.
Arne Slot's side made the nightmare start against Everton, however, conceding to the in-form Beto after just 11 minutes. A clever Toffees free-kick was converted by the towering centre-forward to put the hosts ahead in the last ever Goodison derby.

But Liverpool responded swiftly as Alexis Mac Allister equalised just five minutes later, converting Salah's teasing delivery to the penalty spot.
Another assist for Salah helped him set a new record. According to stat experts Opta, the Egyptian has now produced 22 goal contributions (13 goals and nine assists) in Premier League away matches this term - the most in a single season in the competition's history.
The previous record of 21 contributions during the 1993/94 season was set by former Andy Cole during his time at Newcastle United, but Salah has surpassed this impressive feat in mid-February.
Salah has plenty of time to add to his incredible haul this season, with the winger having already managed over 40 goal contributions in all competitions.
