Mohamed Salah is so desperate to remain with Liverpool beyond this season that he has not even spoken with another side about a free transfer in the summer, reports in France have claimed.
Salah's current contract expires at the end of the season and there has been little progress in talks over an extension, despite the Egyptian's repeated attempts to put public pressure on Liverpool to improve their offer to him.
Indeed, he recently hinted at his upcoming exit from the club by reflecting on his Anfield tenure in the past tense, having previously admitted he felt "more out than in" due to the lack of progress in negotiations.
Al Hilal are known admirers of Salah – manager Jorge Jesus even went public with his desire to link up with the 32-year-old – while recent speculative reports have named Inter and Bayern Munich as potential suitors.
However, French publication Telefoot state Salah's focus remains solely on securing a contract with Liverpool and he is not even speaking with other clubs about a free transfer, such is the strength of his desire to remain at Anfield.
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has insisted the club's desire to keep Salah is "clear" but talks over an extension have proven problematic, with rumours suggesting the Reds are reluctant to make a significant financial commitment to Salah as he approaches his 33rd birthday.
That stance has frustrated fans, who have seen perhaps the best football of Salah's career this year. With 30 goals and 22 assists from just 39 games, the Egypt international is a front-runner for the Ballon d'Or and is on track to break the Premier League's single-season assist record.
