Moises Caicedo makes ridiculous claim which will make fans even more frustrated

Chelsea were desperately poor in defeat to Arsenal last night, another game against a top side where we’ve walked away with nothing, extending our dreadful record.
Speaking at full time to Chelsea TV, midfielder Moises Caicedo tried to find the positives:
“The first 20 minutes they were better, and it’s frustrating because I felt we dominated the game after that. We were better than them, but we needed to score goals to win the game. Every game is a fight for me. It doesn’t matter if it’s a derby,” the midfielder said.
We love Moises, and we’re sure things looked different from down on the pitch, but to say we looked better is farcical and untrue. Arsenal were all over us for a while, then just kept us at arms length once they had scored. They were as depleted in attack as we were, and had no interest in opening up. They had their goal and we had no way of threatening, so they were happy to let us have the ball.

The constant excuse given for the bad results and performances we see regularly from this group is that they are young. We’re glad to hear from Caicedo that manager Enzo Maresca isn’t taking that:
“Sometimes the manager has said that it doesn’t matter the age. We are men. Believing on the pitch, showing our character and our work rate will for sure help us win games.”
They may be young in years, but players like Caicedo already have a load of Premier League appearances to their name. They simply have to do better. They won’t reach the Champions League if they don’t, and missing out on that after having been second at Christmas would be real failure.
