According to Foot Mercato, AS Monaco are considering a potential move for Boubakary Soumaré (25) from Leicester City this summer.
Les Monégasques are looking for alternative targets in midfield after a potential move for Lens midfielder Neil El Aynaoui (23) broke down. The move for the Belgian midfielder collapsed due to a major knee injury that was identified during medical tests which could see the 23-year-old out of action for 8 months, Foot Mercato reports.
As a result, the Principality club have been forced to look for other alternative targets to bolster their midfield targets. Soumaré has emerged as a potential target for the Ligue 1 outfit. The former Lille midfielder was a vital cog for Enzo Maresca’s side that was crowned EFL Championship winners last term.
No offer has yet been submitted for Soumaré with the Monaco club considering other targets as they look for an alternative for El Aynaoui but a potential move for the 25-year-old could be one to watch later in the window.
