AS Monaco are open to selling Wilfried Singo (24) this summer, according to a report from L’Équipe. It comes as reports suggest that the Principality club have already secured a deal to sign Eric Dier (31).
Singo joined Monaco from Torino for €9m and immediately established himself in the starting XI, featuring at centre-back and at right-back. He has been prominent once again this season, playing 32 games in all competitions. However, L’Équipe understands that the Ivory Coast international will be allowed to leave at the end of the current campaign.
It comes amid an evolution in the Monaco defence. As reported by L’Équipe and confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, Dier will join Les Monégasques upon the expiry of his contract with Bayern Munich. The Englishman’s arrival means that Singo will be allowed to leave after two seasons in the Principality. Selling assets when their value peaks is the model at Moanco and that time has seemingly come for the Ivorian.
