Whilst Sunday’s victory over Stade Brestois allowed AS Monaco to move into second place in Ligue 1, it was a victory that came at a cost. Eliesse Ben Seghir and Wilfried Singo were both sent off in the dying stages of the match and will miss Wednesday’s fixture against Lille OSC, at the very least.
Both will be a big miss for Adi Hütter as he looks to build a gap to Wednesday’s opponents, with Lille currently in fourth. Ben Seghir is a natural replacement for Aleksandr Golovin, who suffered an ankle injury in training last week. The Russian international could be out until the end of the season. Singo is also a miss, however, Thilo Kehrer, who was suspended last week, makes a timely return to fill the gap.
