According to a report by Fabrizio Romano, AS Monaco have ruled themselves out of the race for Paris Saint-Germain’s Danilo Pereira (32). Monaco had reportedly been a potential destination for the Portuguese international, however, Danilo will not be moving to the Principality. Atlético de Madrid and FC Barcelona remain another option for the defender.
Romano writes that if European clubs are unable to secure a deal for the player by midnight, Al-Ittihad Club remain another option for Danilo. The Saudi Arabia side are interested in bolstering their defence and with their deadline on the 2nd of September they will still have time to forge a deal with their French counterparts.
Danilo has been at PSG since 2021 and was a regular starter under Luis Enrique last season making 26 appearances in the league. However, with the arrival of Willian Pacho (22) this summer it was clear that chances in the first team would be at a premium for the defender.
