With Andrea Belotti’s arrival at Roma, Eldor Shomurodov is now being linked with an exit from the capital in search of more playing time as the transfer deadline looms only a day away. The Uzbek’s striker entourage are at work to find him a new destination.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, Monza and Torino have expressed interest in the 27-year-old attacker. Both clubs are looking for additional offensive players and Shomurodov reportedly fits the profile they’re scouting.
Bologna are still in the race for Shomurodov, but are unwilling to meet Roma’s demands. Shomurodov’s agent and club intermediaries are trying to bridge the gap between demand and offer.
Additionally, it remains to be seen what Mourinho’s final verdict on the Uzbek will be. Last night, when listing his attacking options, the Special One said of Shomurodov, “He’ll help us too this season.”
