Our Man of the Match is ā¦
Spain may have ended up as the losers on the night but there was no doubt that the best player on the pitch was wearing white.
What a future Luis Enriqueās side have with the 18-year-old in their ranks, as the Barcelona prodigy dominated probably the best midfield in the tournament on the Wembley grass this evening.
With Spain dominating the majority of the ball throughout particularly the first 90 minutes, Pedri shone on the left-hand side of a three-man midfield, and looked like he was thoroughly enjoying the occasion.
Itās not unfair to say that this was probably the biggest night of Pedriās career to his date and he stepped up to flourish, gliding past NicolĆ³ Barella and Marco Verratti while seemingly beating Jorginho to the ball consistently.
If Mikel Oyarzabal had been able to sort his feet out then Spain wouldāve been 1-0 up after 15 minutes thanks to one of the passes of the competition from our Man of the Match.
He completed every single one of his passes in normal time and constantly looked like being the man to unpick the lock to the Italian defence.
It wasnāt to be for Pedri and his teammates in the end but Spain supporters have a bright young hope to rest their dreams on.
