Even being team-mates with Lionel Messi is tough.
Just ask Barcelona defender Moussa Wagué, who revealed that he feels a sense of intimidation being around the superstar.
The Senegal international moved to the Camp Nou last summer from Eupen to link up with Barça’s B side.
Although he has largely been limited to training ground interactions so far with Messi, save for a few first team appearances, he remains in awe.
“I’m progressing a lot each day by being alongside Messi, Luis Suárez and [Ousmane] Dembélé in training,” he wrote in a blog on Barcelona’s website.
“Guys like Suárez and [Gerard] Piqué joke with me and it made me realise they’re just normal guys… well, almost normal.
“I never got that feeling with Messi. Sometimes we just look at Leo and we are left with our mouths open.
“For the moment, I haven’t dared to spend much time around him.
“What would he think if he knew I wore his jersey when I was little?
“Maybe one day he will give me one of his real shirts, perhaps?”
In his debut season with the Spanish champions, Wagué started two league games and appeared off the bench in another.
