Muir’s position untenable after release of scandalous VAR audio

On Friday the Scottish FA released the long awaited VAR audio concerning our controversial disallowed goal at Easter Road a fortnight ago…

At 2-1 down with just 10 minutes remaining Daizen Maeda tucked the ball into the net and we all celebrated what we believed to be an equaliser in a game at one point we were two goals behind. We had every right to celebrate as even the on field officials signalled it as a legitimate goal, but then VAR and one man in particular stepped in to and dent any hopes of a spirited comeback.

We all of course knew this before Collum cleared it all up, but now it’s official that Muir went against the rules he should now be held fully accountable, meaning his position of influence should surely now be untenable.

Not that this will happen. He’ll have friends on secret places looking out for him and he’s more likely to be patted on the back than punished. Hang around a few years and he’ll be appearing on the after dinner speakers circuit telling his tales of how he managed to stick it up Celtic on days like our recent trip to Easter Road and many others too.

Imagine a former referee doing such a thing – don’t be ridiculous.
