Numerous clubs will currently be planning how they can capitalise on those teams poised to be relegated from the Premier League.
For Manchester United, targets such as Liam Delap will spring to mind amid their ongoing search for a prolific – but young – No.9 to ease the goalscoring burden on the out-of-sorts Rasmus Hojlund.
The Tractor Boys will struggle to keep hold of the 22-year-old, especially if he impresses for England at the forthcoming U21 Euros this June.
Elsewhere, Southampton are now resigned to spending at least another season in the Championship after a turbulent seven months upon their return to the top flight. They have lost a whopping 24 matches and claimed just nine points, leaving them 17 points from safety in rock-bottom 20th.
One shining light during their dismal term, however, has been young starlet Tyler Dibling.

Dibling, 19, broke through into the Saints’ first-team under Russell Martin and has retained a prominent role under his successor Ivan Juric.
He notched his first-ever goal against Ipswich last September before adding to his account in a 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace three months later. In gameweek 29, he won the most duels of any player in the division and completed the second-most dribbles (five) behind Manchester City’s Jeremy Doku.
Of course, Southampton will be doing their utmost to keep hold of their academy graduate for as long as possible – but proposals from the classic ‘big six’ may prove too lucrative to turn down, especially at a time when new England coach Thomas Tuchel rewarding up-and-coming youth prospects for their stellar form, like Myles Lewis-Skelly.
According to Fabrizio Romano, United and Liverpool are among the sides to have sent their scouts to watch Dibling in action recently.
“It’s a complicated season for Southampton, but he’s still considered one of the best talents around,” said Romano via GiveMeSport.
“And so, for example, I heard several times about Man United, and also Liverpool sending their scouts to follow the player.”
