According to Florian Plettenberg, VfL Bochum are set to sign AS Monaco striker Myron Boadu on loan for the season.

It is understood that the two teams have agreed for the 23-year-old to spend the season in the Bundesliga, with Bochum securing a future purchase option in the Dutchman’s contract.

Should Die Blauen look to make the deal for Boadu permanent at the end of the campaign, then it is believed they will be able to secure his services for €10 million.

As stated in the report, Boadu is set to undergo his medical in the next 24 hours, with the deal almost complete.

While Boadu has failed to impress during his three-year stint in Ligue 1, having scored ten goals and collected two assists in 68 games for Monaco, Bochum will be hoping that the striker can replicate his impressive scoring tally previously shown at AZ Alkmaar as they look to avoid relegation from the Bundesliga.

For AZ, Boadu scored 38 goals and registered 18 assists in 88 appearances, earning a call-up to the Netherlands national team in the process.
