Victor Osimhen (25) has given Paris Saint-Germain the green light to pursue his signature as he looks for a move away from Napoli, but a deal is far from simple for the former Lille OSC forward.
PSG reignited their interest in the striker this summer after they failed to convince Napoli to part with Osimhen a year ago. Two offers over €100 million were both rejected as Napoli hoped to keep some of the key parts of their title-winning team together and made it clear that he would not leave for any amount less than his €130 million release clause.
A disappointing season for Napoli has now allowed for Osimhen to be placed on the market with the Serie A side thought to be lining up a move for Romelu Lukaku (31). According to Foot Mercato, Napoli want €110 million for the wantaway striker who has reportedly threatened to skip training to force a move to Paris, an amount that PSG are reluctant to meet.
PSG are unwilling to offer more than €80 million for the striker and have rejected a proposal from Napoli who asked for €90 million plus Lee Kang-in (23). There was little doubt that PSG would refuse this offer, they are keen to keep Lee and have reportedly rejected a €70 million offer for the player from a Premier League team.
