Napoli star names Leao as most impressive Serie A player: “Can change a game at any moment” | OneFootball

Scott McTominay has named Rafael Leao as the player who has left the greatest impression on him so far during his debut season in Serie A.

McTominay joined Napoli from Manchester United during the summer transfer window, becoming part of a new era under Antonio Conte. His six goals and two assists in 27 league games have put the Partenopei right in the mix for the Scudetto, which they are battling for with Inter.

Napoli have done the double over Milan this season, winning 2-0 at San Siro back in October and then emerging 2-1 victors at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in the rematch back on March 30. Romelu Lukaku scored in both games for Conte’s side.

McTominay gave an interview to the microphones of La Gazzetta dello Sport in which he spoke about his season at Napoli, the goals he has scored and also some opponents. MilanPress relayed his comments.

The best opponent you have faced?

“In Serie A I say Leao. He is a great player, very dynamic, fast. He can change a game at any moment with a move. Serie A is a really great league,” he said.

“There are many champions like Lautaro, the Thuram brothers, Reijnders: the level is very high, I was impressed. Then in my career I also played against Messi and Ronaldo, who are phenomenal.”
